The process of first language interference in learning second language is called transfer. There are two classifications of transfer. The Positive transfer and negative transfer. This research was done to analyze the negative transfer of Indonesian into English of beginner students who learn English as foreign language. The method of the research was in qualitative descriptive study with the participants of grade-7 students in SMPN 01 Sungai Pinyuh in Academic Year 2021/2022. The data were collected by interviewing the participants and collecting worksheets from the participants. The researcher analyzed the data by using content analysis and transcription. The finding of the study showed that there were many errors made by the students that related to negative transfer and students tended not to realize that they were making mistakes. 摘要
第一语言在学习第二语言时起着重要作用。第一语言对第二语言学习的干扰过程称为迁移。迁移有两种分类。正迁移和负迁移。本研究旨在分析将英语作为外语学习的初学者将印尼语负迁移到英语中的情况。研究方法是对 2021/2022 学年 SMPN 01 Sungai Pinyuh 的七年级学生进行定性描述研究。研究人员通过采访参与者和收集参与者的作业纸来收集数据。研究人员通过内容分析和誊写对数据进行了分析。研究结果表明,学生犯了许多与负迁移有关的错误,而且学生往往意识不到自己犯了错误。本研究的结果可望为其他教师的外语教学和同类课题的其他研究人员提供有用的参考信息。
