Except for robinetin, they exist in glycosidic form. One polyphenol, ellagic acid, was also identified. Literature studies showed they have various pharmacological benefits, such as antioxidants, anti-inflammation, anticancer, antidiabetes, organ protection, and antimicrobial. However, no information is available on its potential for fertility enhancement. Docking analysis showed that the bioactive compounds interact with the A and C chains of the catalytic domain of protein phosphatase 1 (PP1).
