So , the current study was conducted to evaluate the effect of implementing an educational intervention for pediatric critical care nurses on managing alarm fatigue and improving clinical alarm management practices. Methods: A quasi-experimental design was utilized during the current study, and it was conducted on 70 pediatric nurses who are concerned in providing direct care in the intensive care units at Mansoura University Children Hospital. Results: Since the majority of the nurses under investigation were competent post-intervention compared to being incompetent pre-intervention, the educational intervention showed a highly statistical improvement in the total practice levels among the nurses throughout the research period. Additionally, nurses noted a significant improvement in alarm fatigue symptoms post-intervention compared to pre-intervention, with a highly statistically significant difference. Conclusion & Recommendations: The educational intervention seems to improve nurses’ knowledge and practice regarding alarm system monitoring and management and help in minimizing alarm fatigue symptoms. Therefore, the researchers recommended implementing comprehensive educational interventions and provide resources for continued learning and address staffing and workload issues.
