In this regard, a number of works are being carried out in Uzbekistan. According to the National Report on the State of Land Resources of the Republic of Uzbekistan, only 10% (4.3 million ha) of the 44.9 million hectares in the Republic are irrigated. About 2 million hectares (45%) of these lands are subject to secondary salinization. There are problems with water erosion on 800,000 hectares and wind erosion on 2 million hectares.
