This research utilizes a qualitative research method with literature review as the research approach. The findings of this study indicate that progressive humanistic Islamic education aims to build a good personality, positive character, strong identity, and Islamic morality. By adopting the ideas of Ali Shariati, Islamic education in Indonesia can become more progressive, critical, and humanistic. Ali Shariati's ideology of Islamic humanism emphasizes the importance of critically understanding Islam in the social and political context. He rejects dogmatic teachings and disregards the role of humans in creating social change. The conclusion of this article explains that Ali Shariati's thoughts are relevant to progressive humanistic Islamic education in Indonesia. 摘要
