Considering the alterations in characteristic peaks of cyanide, aqua, and hmpH ligands, general knowledge about the structural features of the complexes was detected from the vibrational spectra. The Ni(II) ion is coordinated by four cyanide-carbon atoms forming a square planar geometry.
