Memoria reciente de la violencia mexicana en tres novelas gráficas

Resumen: En la presente comunicación abordaremos la memoria reciente de la violencia en México y nos centraremos en tres variantes: la violencia contra defensores de derechos humanos, la indefensión de los ciudadanos ante los cárteles del crimen organizado y el magnicidio o asesinato de políticos y representantes del orden institucional. Lo haremos a través de tres novelas gráficas recientemente publicadas que podemos considerar representativas del cómic independiente norteamericano, de la moderna novela gráfica mexicana y del talento español que produce obras para el mercado francobelga. En todas ellas la memoria de la violencia se convierte no sólo en testimonio necesario de las condiciones dramáticas que vive México, sino en denuncia del caos que parece haberse apoderado del país. Abstract: In this paper we will address the recent memory of violence in Mexico and we will focus on three variants: violence against human rights defenders, the defenselessness of citizens against organized crime cartels and the assassination of politicians and representatives of the institutional order. We will do it through three recently published graphic novels that we can consider representative of the North American independent comic, the modern Mexican graphic novel and the Spanish talent which produces works for the Franco-Belgian market. In all of them, the memory of violence becomes not only a necessary testimony of the dramatic conditions that Mexico is experiencing, but also a denunciation of the chaos that seems to have taken over the country.
