The control class was taught by the traditional mode, while the experimental class was taught by the new mode combining traditional with MOOC. The final results showed that there was little difference in the grade distributions of the control and experimental classes before the respective instruction (the P value greater than 0.05); after the instruction the students’ ancient literature grades in the experimental class improved significantly (the P value less than 0.05), while the control class almost had no change (the P value greater than 0.05).
