The use of information technology offers the healthcare industry a huge potential to solve its most important problem. The importance of using Industry 4.0 technologies in medicine is highlighted, which contributes to the introduction of digitalization elements in healthcare and medical services. The application areas and advantages of 3D printing, medical robots, Internet of Things, artificial intelligence are given. Phases of telemedicine development from the middle of the 19th century to modern times are given. Systematic use of Industry 4.0 tools will contribute to the correct clinical decisions, give the patient and the clinic adequate access to health records, improve the accuracy and reliability of these records, and contribute to the collection, systematization and analysis of quality service data.
