DRAVINO® : un système de sécurité pour limiter les infections du site opératoire
The secondary installation of tubing during surgery poses sterilization problems whose risks have been analyzed. An innovating security system is proposed here to counter this problem. The DRAVINO-1® system was developed to limit nosocomial infections of endogenous or exogenous origin when using surgical aspiration tubing and single-use drape sheets in buccal surgery. The drape sheet and the tubing are installed simultaneously (in less than 1 minute), without coming into contact with the non-sterile environment. The tubing that passes through the drape sheet is industrially pre-sealed to the drape (Industrial Quality Control for sealing according to the European Standard EN 13 795-1) at a length sufficient to allow for vacuuming all around the operative fenestration. During the act of unfolding the drape over the patient, the non-sterile part of the tubing, which is found both under and outside of the drape and which linked to the vacuum socket, is thus automatically isolated by the drape. Any contact, with bio-contamination of the superior area of the sterile drape is thus avoided both before and during the operation.
