However, it is during four quite particular interventions that this tool will present really higher performances than the conventional instrumentation: non-traumatic removal of osteo-integrated implants, symphysar and retromolar bone harvesting and inferior alveolar nerve lateralization. The objective of this article is to present in detail each one of these four applications and to discuss their advantages and disadvantages compared to the former techniques.
