NATURE AND HUMANS IN I. S. TURGENEV’S NOVELLAS: CHARACTERS WITH “INTERNAL INTEGRITY”

В статье исследуется проблема природы и человека в творчестве И. С. Тургенева («Хорь и Калиныч», «Касьян с Красивой Мечи», «Поездка в Полесье», «Фауст»). Отмечается роль философских взглядов писателя в художественном осмыслении обозначенной проблемы, приводятся данные из его писем. Рассматриваются герои с «внутренней цельностью» в соответствии с концепцией М. О. Гершензона.Первый тип – персонажи с «раздвоенной душой», второй тип – персонажи с «внутренней цельностью». В отечественной науке о литературе концептуальный анализ героев второго типа в указанных произведениях И. С. Тургенева еще не становился предметом специального изучения. В работе применялись сравнительно-сопоставительный метод и метод целостного анализа художественного произведения. В рассказах из цикла «Записки охотника» и в повести «Поездка в Полесье» выявляются и анализируются персонажи с «внутренней цельностью», которые не противопоставляют себя природе, а живут с ней в единстве. В повести «Фауст» выявляется и исследуется герой второго типа, находящийся в гармонии с любовью, которая рассматривается как одна из стихийных сил природы. Nature and humans in I. S. Turgenev’s novellas (“Khor and Kalinych”, “Kasyan from the Beautiful Lands”, “A Trip to Polesie”, “Faust”) are in focus. The paper notes philological and philosophical views in the artistic comprehension of the designated problem, gives data from the writer’s letters. We analyze the characters with “internal integrity”. According to Mikhail Gerschenzon’s theory, the first type contains the characters “with a split soul”. The second type contains the characters with “internal integrity”. In the Russian science of literature, the conceptual analysis of the characters of the second type in the mentioned works of I. S. Turgenev has not yet become the subject of special study. The comparative method and the method of holistic analysis of a piece of writing are used in the article. In the stories from the cycle “Notes of a Hunter” and in the story “A Trip to Polesie”, characters with “internal integrity” are identified and analyzed as the ones who do not oppose themselves to nature, but live with it in organic unity. The story “Faust” reveals and explores the character who is in harmony with love, which is regarded as one of the elemental forces of nature.
