The purpose of this study is to find out the perception, sports value and development constraints of college students and field-oriented experts who are participating in physical activities of action cheerleading, to seek the direction of development. For the purpose of the study, a qualitative study was conducted, and the subjects of the study were 10 student members and 10 field-oriented leaders with a lot of professional knowledge and activity experience among Korean university cheerleaders. As for the regions, nine regions were selected and proceeded: Gangwon, Seoul, Incheon, Gyeonggi, Busan, Gyeongbuk, Jeonbuk, Chungbuk, and Chungnam. As for the sampling method, a semi-structured in-depth interview was conducted using purposeful sampling, which is a nonprobability sampling method. The semi-structured questions were modified and supplemented through a pilot test. The harmonized questions were revised and supplemented through a pilot test.
