This research aims to analyze reading interest character on the students’ DLS during an odd semester at State Senior High School 2 of Bilar Hilir (SMPN 2 Bilah Hilir). This research included the students from classes VII-1, VII-5, VIII-2, VIII-6, IX-3 and IX-4 by employing a quantitative descriptive method of investigation. The data collection was done through questionnaire by approaching descriptive statistics analysis. The research results show that students' reading interest must be improved by increasing their DLS, which are quite effective and may effectively counter technological advancements. 摘要
