Music is one the strategy that can be applied. The aim of this research is to determine the effect of slow music on students' English listening skills. The method of this research is Classroom action research. The subjects of this research were 27 students of the History and Sociology Department of IKIP Budi Utomo. The results of this research explain that the application of slow music has a significant and positive impact on listening ability for the students of History and Sociology Department of IKIP Budi Utomo. Students' response and activeness in learning is very good, their accuracy in pronouncing the words, understanding native speech, and their English vocabulary have increased. 摘要

语言学习有各种各样的策略和方法。音乐是一种可以应用的策略。本研究的目的是确定慢音乐对学生英语听力技能的影响。本研究的方法是课堂行动研究。本研究以Budi Utomo大学历史社会学系27名学生为研究对象。本研究结果说明,慢音乐的应用对我校历史与社会学系学生的听力能力有显著的正向影响。学生的学习反应和积极性都很好,发音的准确性,对母语的理解,英语词汇量都有所增加。学生变得更加专注于学习,因为他们快乐地参与到教学和学习过程中,没有恐惧和负担。
