This work aims to present the contribution of philosophy to the field of pedagogy and its importance in building the personality of educators. We can document this aim only by a thorough analysis of the relationship between philosophy and educational theory in history. An attempt to map the complexity of this task also entails the necessity to delve deeply into the whole pedagogical and philosophical dimension of education.
