On the basis of first-order shear deformation theory and Hamilton's principle, the theoretical equations of motion and boundary conditions are obtained. The concepts of change of variables, as well as the implementation of the generalized differential quadrature method and the Newmark procedure, have all been used to achieve dimensionless discrete equations.
