Deutungen von Wirkung im Sozialwesen: Annäherungen an einen unscharfen Begriff

Bis heute existiert kein geteiltes Verständnis von Wirkung im Sozial­ wesen. Vertiefte Kenntnisse sind hilfreich, um die kontroverse und unübersichtliche Wirkungsdebatte zu konsolidieren und ergebnisorientiert führen zu können. Der Bei­trag rekonstruiert auf der Grundlage einer Literaturanalyse die Deutungen von Wirkung in vier ausgewählten Handlungsfeldern des Sozialwesens im deutschsprachigen Raum (Justizvollzug, Fremdplatzierung, Entlastung pflegender Angehöriger, Kurzberatung). Er verdeutlicht, dass sich die Deutungen von Wirkung an den Klient:innen und gelin­genden Interventionen orientieren. Eine auffallende «Ökonomisierung» der Wirkungs­debatte bestätigt sich in der Analyse nicht. In­depth knowledge is helpful to consolidate the controversial and confusing impact debate and to be able to lead it in a result­oriented way. Based on a literature analysis, this article reconstructs the interpretations of impact in four selected fields of action in the social service sector in German­speaking countries (correctional services, out­of­home placement, relief for caring relatives, brief counselling). It shows that the interpretations of impact are oriented towards clients and successful interventions. A striking “marketi­zation” («Ökonomisierung») of the impact debate is not confirmed in the analysis.
