It is shown that the assessment of the qualitative state of buckwheat when stored in elevator silos must be carried out taking into account the presence of damaged grain, which requires the development of objective instrumental methods for determining macro- and microdamage to this crop. Currently, visual methods with pre-processing (under a magnifying glass and microscope) and without pre-processing are used, which are inaccurate.
