The ‘psychomotrician’ is interested in movement, co-ordination and such difficulties as dyspraxia, but is also a psychological professional who often works in a child mental health multidisciplinary team. and a Psychologist, who have combined, each using their specific experience in the field of work with children and families. One of them has an additional training in psychoanalytic observation, and the other has an awareness of psychoanalytic observation and group work. Together they developed and implemented the presentation of a five-session group work model to which young children and parents, who have been referred to the service, have been invited.
