Methodology for Teaching Surgical Manipulations on the Example of an Intracorporeal Suture

The intracorporeal suture is a key skill for performing laparoscopic interventions. The intracorporeal suture training takes place in simulation education; 44 — 72.2% of trained physicians use intracorporeal suture in practice (students). The result of simulation education largely depends on the teaching methodology. An improved technique of simulation education of intracorporeal suture with the inclusion of author's methods for performing knots and simulators has been developed and applied. The result was evaluated by the method of structured interviews of listeners. 88.9% of newly trained physicians were able to apply an intracorporeal suture in practice; 67.3% noted the expansion of the laparoscopic interventions spectrum, and 73.0% decreased the duration of the laparoscopic interventions.
