There are two main mechanisms of influence of preventive immunization on the course of the fight against the pandemic; by reducing the incidence of preventable infections and reducing the burden on healthcare, and by directly influencing the vaccines used on the infection processes with the SARS-Cov-2 virus and the pathogenetic mechanisms of COVID-19. Vaccination of Patients with Comorbid Conditions against Meningococcal and Pneumococcal Disease and Influenza during the COVID-19 Pandemic – New Aspects
The review discusses and confirms the important role of vaccination of patients with comorbid conditions against pneumococcus, influenza and meningococcus in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic.
