The implementation of the effect of self-organization of materials depending on the production of entropy is theoretically substantiated. The conditions of self-organization with negative entropy production were obtained. The relationship between the rate of volumetric wear of tribocoupled parts and the production of excess entropy and its flow is determined. Expressions for the intensity of wear of tribocoupling parts were obtained, taking into account thermal processes in the friction zone.
