In this study, a survey was conducted among 45 Korean Spanish teachers to analyze their perceptions and determine the current status of and improvement points for teaching culture in Korean secondary Spanish education during the transition period before the full implementation of the 2022 Revised National Curriculum in 2025. The teachers answered closed-ended questions about the need to teach culture, methods of teaching culture, the contents of culture teaching, and their evaluation of the three goals of the Spanish curriculum, as well as open-ended questions about defining intercultural competence and suggesting improvements for teaching culture in Spanish classrooms.
