The structural components of the professional readiness of future heads of preschool education institutions for managerial activities are highlighted. Particular attention is paid to the actualization of the innovative potential of future heads of preschool education institutions, their creative attitude to successful management activities.Attention is focused on creating a favorable innovative educational environment in a higher education institution for the formation of managerial professional skills. The definitions of the concepts of “readiness” and “professional readiness” are characterized. The significance of the competence approach in the formation of professional readiness of future managers of preschool education institutions for management activities is actualized.
