Abusing Illicit Drug: Systemic and Orofacial Health Complications

Illicit drugs are everyone’s problem in the US. It poses great challenge to dental health care professionals who are in the frontline contact with the public, and will inevitably encounter drug users among their patients. For their own safety and for the benefit of their patients, it is imperative that among their armamentaria should include knowledge of current drug crises, and adverse effects of these drugs on systemic and orofacial health. The objective of this communique is to provide a comprehensive review of this subject.
