Through this integration data can be easily transferred through various development applications. In this work, importance of integration has been highlighted by integrating MathCAD and Pro-Engineer softwares for design and development of impeller of a blower. MathCAD is a standardized & right tool for engineering calculations while ProEngineer is a parametric, integrated 3D CAD/CAM/CAE solution. For overall pressure ratio (ξ) value of more than 2, forward (radial) impeller is suitable while backward curved impeller is more suitable for ξ less than 2. After implementation of this system, it is easily possible to optimize the design parameter based on the modified requirements.
