Different topologies of VAR compensators with voltage regulators are analyzed. An example of sinusoidal voltage regulator realization based on a transformer with a controlled transformer ratio is considered. The realizing of transformer with controlled transformer ratio is proposed based on a multiple-winding transformer with sectioned winding and a controlled commutator. Examples of VAR compensator circuits based on transformer with sectioned winding and thyristor’s commutator are analyzed. Designing of static VAR compensators with voltage regulators
The approach to the designing of controlled reactive power compensators with AC sinusoidal voltage regulators is presented.
