New records of long-legged flies (Diptera, Dolichopodidae) from Novgorod Region of Russia with an annotated checklist of species

During recent short-term surveys conducted in the Novgorod Region of Russia, 17 species of Dolichopodidae (Diptera, Brachycera, Dolichopodidae) were collected. Argyra argyria (Meigen, 1824), Campsicnemus curvipes (Fallén, 1823), Dolichopus cilifemoratus Macquart, 1827, Gymnopternus brevicornis (Staeger, 1842), Hydrophorus brunnicosus Loew, 1857, Sympycnus aeneicoxa (Meigen, 1824), Syntormon bicolorellus (Zetterstedt, 1843) and Telmaturgus tumidulus (Raddatz, 1873) were recorded in Novgorod Region for the first time. An annotated checklist of Novgorod regional fauna was compiled, including 14 genera and 44 species. In addition, current information on the geographical distribution for each species was included in the checklist.
