On GCL based preamble for time synchronization in OFDM system
This paper presents time synchronization in the OFDM receiver using a preamble based on generalized chirp-like (GCL) sequence. The synchronization method is based on correlation of the preamble using Schmidl-Cox technique and also Park's technique. It is shown that GCL based Park's technique is a superior and robust time-synchronization technique as compared to the pseudo-noise (PN) sequence based technique, particularly in the presence of frequency offsets.
