Uplink capacity of the WCDMA FDD mode in UMTS networks for mixed services
This document presents the most significant uplink results obtained by a system level (SL) simulator based upon the specifications presented in the ETSI (UMTS 30.03-v320) publication and on the link level results from ETSI, "The ETSI UMTS Terrestrial Radio Access ITU-R RTT Candidate Submission". After describing the basis in which the simulator was built the modelling of several items associated to a SL simulator of UMTS (Universal Mobile Telecommunication System) W-CDMA systems operating in the FDD (frequency division duplex) mode is introduced. For single services the simulator results can be compared to those presented in the second publication, but service mix results are also presented and for those there are no results available for comparison.
