The less roughness and content of gamma-2-phase the better the amalgam reacts to corrosion evident in a higher potential, a lower corrosion rate and a higher breakdown potential. Foremost the polish supplies the best resistance to corrosion. Duragam-amalgam is more resistant than Germadent-amalgam.
