The algorithm to schedule the charging of EVs has been designed by considering a local workplace with the regional solar pattern, vehicle’s initial State of Charge and rest time of the vehicles at the workplace. A statistical model has been created and a case study has been done by assuming certain parameters and satisfactory preliminary results have been obtained which can be possibly implemented on a larger scale after the penetration of the electric vehicles in the market. Some of the promising future research directions have also been highlighted.
