At the current stage, colleges and universities have increased their efforts to adapt to the new situation in the reform of art education and teaching. The cultivation of artistic students, in particular, pays more attention to the improvement of the comprehensive quality of art students. As far as the education of art students is concerned, in the new teaching stage, not only the art students’ theoretical knowledge and practical ability for basic art foundation and art painting are cultivated. It is not to expand the field of art curriculum, such as art design, the design of the flash of the Internet, etc., which greatly enhances the comprehensive ability of art students. However, there are still some problems in the current teaching methods. This paper makes a certain discussion on the problems and solutions in art teaching. 1. there are some shortcomings in the current art teaching in colleges and universities. (1) The talent training mode is single, and the content of the textbook is not innovative enough. At the current stage of the cultivation of art education in colleges and universities in China, the training methods of talents are relatively simple and the content of the textbooks is not innovative and novel.The current teaching method is more traditional, adopting the teaching method of “teaching without reality”. The basic meaning of the teaching method is that the teacher teaches students some basic art introduction knowledge, while the students carry out a lot of copying on the premise of steadily laying the foundation and imitating the excellent paintings. And self-created and finally explore the direction of their own style and art painting.Due to the teaching methods of Chinese and Western education, basically the teaching methods inside the university are different.For example, some art teachers inherit the ancient traditional painting mode, paying attention to painting needs to draw the aura of artistic conception, while other art teaching methods follow the Western painting method after the Italian Renaissance, such as the painting method of gouache and oil painting, that is, pay more attention to In the basic structure and shape of things, this is a more realistic way of painting.But no matter which way, art teaching pays great attention to the cultivation of students' painting skills, and lacks attention to the cultivation of students' artistic style.Secondly, in the content of the teaching materials, generally let the students learn the history of Chinese and Western art, and then let the students understand some basic skills from entry to deep knowledge, and finally let some of the more advanced and art-related \"Internet + art\" Internet art creation courses, etc., their own teaching content is relatively simple, and teachers also lack the artistic guidance for students, so current students often do not form their own style after the graduation or the stage of imitation, or engage in other The industry has thrown away the skills of art.
