In compiling the work steps, the research method used to analyze the meaning of connotation is a qualitative approach with a descriptive method that aims to describe objectively the meaning of connotations contained in the book. After the researcher analyzed the connotative meanings contained in the Madilog book by Tan Malaka, there were types of connotative meanings, namely positive connotative meanings and negative connotative meanings.
