The traits of this converter are high power density, no cross-regulation issue and reduced usage of copper. LLC is a well-known resonant converter achieving wide operation range with high efficiency. DAB also features low component stress, few output filter components, ZVS operation. Proposed architecture not only integrates the merits of LLC and DAB, but also eliminates the issues of DAB, such as the loss of ZVS at light load. Novel DAB structure and its system architectures are further proposed for efficiency improvement and optimal implementation.
