CHANGING CONSUMPTION HABITS OF DIYARBAKIR WOMEN DURING THE PANDEMIC PROCESS
In this study, it is aimed to evaluate how the consumption habits of women who are most affected by the new process are shaped while adapting to the said process in Diyarbakır. For this purpose, it is questioned how women have changed in their spending and consumption habits due to the increase in responsibility they face within the scope of the "life fits at home (HES Code) practice, which was initiated both to be at the center of family budget management and to overcome the epidemic period with the least damage. The most important reason why women in Diyarbakir are taken into account is the widespread belief that eastern women spend most of their time busy with housework for their family and children and do not take much place in working life. In the study, 400 female consumers living in the city center of Diyarbakır were interviewed one-on-one. A questionnaire consisting of 34 questions was applied to the participants. The obtained data were analyzed with the SPSS 26.0 package program. According to the results of the analysis, it has been observed that women generally increase their consumption expenditures in order to meet their compulsory needs in proportion to their age, and they prefer to shop online for this.
