English-speaking communicative competence development of students of technical specialties in a multi-level group

Актуальность статьи обусловлена тем, что навык общения на иностранном (английском) языке становится все более и более востребован на рынке труда среди выпускников технических специальностей. Однако, стоит учитывать тот факт, что студенты данной направленности имеют различный уровень владения иностранным языком по причине отсутствия мотивации к его изучению, что вызывает трудности при обучении. Цель статьи заключается в обосновании эффективности разработанной программы обучения англоязычной коммуникативной компетенции студентов технических направлений. Автором сформулированы основные причины слабой подготовки студентов по иностранному (английскому) данной направленности, которые стоит принять во внимание при построении плана обучения. Предложена программа развития англоязычной коммуникативной компетенции, которая улучшает навыки коммуникации на иностранном (английском) языке. Доказано, что после реализации программы обучения в течение одного учебного года, уровень владения английским языком у студентов технического направления был улучшен. The relevance of the article is that the skill of communication in a foreign (English) language is becoming more and more up-to-date in demand in the labour market among graduates of technical specialties. However, it is worth considering that students of this educational direction have a different foreign language proficiency level due to the lack of motivation to study it. As a result, it causes difficulties in learning. The purpose of the article is to substantiate the efficiency of the created training program for English-speaking communicative competence of students of technical specialties. The author has formulated the main reasons for the poor preparation of students in a foreign language (English) of this orientation which should be taken into account when creating a training plan. A program for the development of English-speaking communicative competence is proposed, which improves foreign (English) language communication skills. It is proved that after the implementation of the training program during one academic year the level of English language proficiency of students of technical specialties was improved. The article is intended for teachers of a foreign (English) language teaching technical students at higher educational institutions.
