DIVERSIDAD RELIGIOSA EN COMODORO RIVADAVIA. MIRADAS DESDE EL TERRITORIO Y LA REGULACIÓN ESTATAL

This work seeks to contribute to the study of religious groups in central Patagonia, particularly in the city of Comodoro Rivadavia. The main objective is to highlight the existing religious diversity and understand the ways in which this diversity is territorially inscribed and, in turn, how it is processed in terms of state agency. It also wishes to consider the strategies deployed by the groups themselves so as to counter their stigmatization and position themselves socially. For this purpose, an approach to religious diversity is proposed from a relational perspective, but above all in a way that is situated and anchored in the characteristics of the study area. In terms of methodology, the various strategies used include mapping, analysis of regulations and interviews with religious and government leaders. The author concludes that in the case of Comodoro Rivadavia, a form of religious diversity exists that is not valued in terms of religious plurality.
