The antenna comprises an elaborately designed radiation patch and a T-shaped slot-etched ground. The proposed antenna has a simulated −10 dB impedance bandwidth from 2.93 GHz to 16 GHz. A stable radiation pattern with better gain characteristics is obtained over the entire operational bandwidth. The maximum realized gain is 4.4 dBi. The optimized total size of the antenna is only 30×18 mm2.
