Methods: A prospective study was conducted from 1st January 2017 to 31st December 2017, Emergency medicine Department of Sher-i-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences, Srinagar, a tertiary care teaching hospital. Results: A total of 1000 cases were studied during the research period. Males were predominantly affected. Most of the cases were from urban areas. Occupants were most common victims. Two wheelers (Scooters, Motor Cycles, scooties etc) were most common vehicles involved in accidents. Majority of the accident patients had head injury.
