Ultra wide band operation covers 3.1–10.6 GHz (UWB) frequency band and also enhanced bands which are extremely wider than UWB are obtained by using unequal legs of rectangular U shaped fork radiating patch and a modified ground plane. The proposed antenna gives the Omni-directional radiation pattern and acceptable gain over UWB and multiple enhanced frequency bands. Design of rectangular U-shaped fork patch antenna for UWB and multiband applications
