Our goal of the research is to propose and develop walking assist methods in real space while playing immersive VR without reducing the user's immersive feeling as much as possible. In this paper, we proposed a navigation system which automatically calculates the route the user should walk so that the user avoid to collide with surrounding obstacles when using VR. Also, we simulated the real environment and conducted the experiment. As a result, in a situation assumed that the system can calculate a safe route, by displaying only the walking route to the destination, the user can safely reach the destination without reducing the immersive feeling in the VR content. In addition, we found that users' preferences are greatly divided between 6-DoF and 3-DoF for DoF conditions when using VR while walking in real space.
