The study used Google Scholar to obtain raw citations and analyses various citation metrics to find the impact of Indian Veterinary Journal on emerging research. A total of 1000 research articles were examined for growth of contributions by year, authorship patterns, author productivity through Lotka’s law, single and multi-authored papers by year, and most prolific contributors. Further, the relative growth rate and doubling time of IVJ pertaining to the study period are examined. The data analyses revealed that a maximum number of contributions i.e., 223 (22.30%) were published in the year 1992-1996. The average number of authors per paper is 2.97, the highest number of author productivity i.e., 15 research articles, the degree of the collaboration is 0.91%.
