The cost of being a social scientist or analyzing social reality in Turkey involves, above all, a difficult and complex methodology learning process. Although this process does not make the one sophisticated, this is also ideal, it includes scientists' efforts to learn, in other words, the desire to advance on the "ideal". Therefore, there are some chronic methodological and theoretical problems in the academic analyzes of Turkish social scientists. This claim can be supported by various arguments. Tanel Demirel's work titled "Understanding Turkish Politics: An Essay on Approaches", published by Liberte Publications in 2019 presents comprehensive literature of exactly these arguments. His work's scope is confined to social science analyses examining Turkish politics and, he focuses on the Western origin-theoretical and methodological approaches imported by Turkish social science analyses.
