In order to overcome many phenomena which make spontaneous speech translation difficult, the authors are carrying out research on spontaneous speech recognition, prosody processing and synthesis of natural-sounding speech, language translation and system integration. 摘要

ATR口译电信研究实验室(ATR- itl)成立于1993年，旨在建立自发语音翻译的基础技术。为了克服自发语音翻译中存在的诸多困难现象，笔者在自发语音识别、自然语音的韵律处理与合成、语言翻译和系统集成等方面进行了研究。此外，他们正在构建一个大规模的集成语音和语言数据库，用于分析声学和语言特征。
