On-line and off-line state of the art preventive maintenance of electrical motors
This paper reviews the available on-line and off-line electrical methods of performing PM/PDM (preventive maintenance/predictive maintenance) on electric motors. Effort is put in describing all available methods today, as well as the methods that are being investigated and might be available in the near future. Challenges of the scrutinized approaches are evaluated and common misconceptions regarding applicability of some methods for PM/PDM are pointed out.
