CAMABOT, An assistance device for Mexican society with motor disabilities
In this work, it is presented the development of a device based on intelligent robotics for the health care of patients. It consists of a mechatronic system and automatic monitoring of movements of a robotic hospital bed that support the classification of positions by recognizing patterns. Based on the requirements defined, this feature was carried out by the application of a diagnostic identification methodology. This method was successfully applied to a Mexican public hospital and the issue identified was the mobility of seniors and physically disabled individuals. These patients need move routinely or sporadically during their stay in the hospital. The system includes an intelligent monitor system for some patients who require a particular routine application. Also, the medical experts can program the intelligent system with different movements of the robotic bed considering the posture of each patient and the spend time in bed. This paper shows the manufacture of our mechanical, electronic, industrial, graphics and software designs and the physicals results.
