Comparison of Mechanical Parameters of Self-Supporting Suspended Optical Cables with Power Elements from Different Materials
The article is devoted to the development of new designs of optical cables and the advantages of using different materials by testing mechanical tests to cables. The results of tensile tests are presented when comparing the mechanical parameters of self-supporting suspended optical cables (OC) with power elements from different materials. In this work, the object of tests selected self-supporting OC brand OSC, designed for laying on the supports of communication lines. Cables are made according to TU 3587-001-58743450-2005. Tensile tests of the cable brand OSC were carried out on the installation type “rrk-ek2. The length of the stretched section of cable at tension was 37 m. The cables in this work have two versions of the peripheral power element design: aramid filament and glass filament. The analysis of the obtained dependences of attenuation change ($\alpha$) on the tensile force ($Tf$) for OSC-4x4A-10 cables showed the linear nature of this dependence.
