However, volunteer firefighters are limited to assisting the work of firefighters but are not involved in active duty. Therefore, this study examines the current status of volunteer firefighters and conducts and analyzes satisfaction surveys through questionnaires. Volunteer firefighters undergo regular education and training. Because they have long-term residence in the region as well as expertise, their services should be actively utilized in the field of disaster prevention and response. Moreover, because the satisfaction level of the convocation allowance is low, it is necessary to make the recruitment allowance realistic. The ratio of personnel working in firefighting and technology-related fields is low; thus, it is necessary to expand and allocate practical firefighting-related subjects during education and training.
